Checking Out

  • Wherever possible, please ensure dishware has been washed, dried and put away before departure. There may be instances where you utilize dishes just before you leave, feel free to leave these drying and we can put them away during cleaning.

  • Please place all linens in the provided hamper (in the main cottage bedroom). We will then make sure these are laundered for the next guest. Items to include would be bed sheets (and pillow cases), towels and any dish towels or cloths.

  • Make sure the propane fireplace is switched off (you can do this by simply pressing the red button on the remote).

  • Don’t forget to check the bedside tables, shower, electrical outlets and other areas for all personal items before you leave!

  • Please make sure any trash or refuse is bagged and removed when you depart. You can take trash to the Transfer Station at 1052 Beiers Road. Please see below for the hours of the trasnfer station:

  • Take an extra peek that all lights have been switched off before heading out!

  • Just give the propane tank an extra look if you used the barbecue and ensure it is turned all the way off to prevent any propane leakage. Once cooled, pop the cover back on the barbecue to protect it from the elements after your departure.

  • Ensure the canoe, paddle boards and any other outdoor equipment is carefully secured. Wings wreak havoc on loose items, so make sure they are secured prior to departure.

  • Make sure the bunkie is closed and locked and return the key to the side of the fridge. Make sure you are locking the main cottage before you go (windows, sliding door and main door) and don’t forget to put the key back in the lock box!
